Kensuke's Kingdom
In 2022 I worked at Bumpybox as a freelance junior compositor on the feature film adaptation of Kensuke's Kingdom.
As a compositor on the project, I was sent the assets needed for a shot. I would then combine these elements together to create a cohesive final shot. This would involve colour correcting the characters for example, so that they matched the colour tone of the background.

I had to ensure my shots matched stylistically to the shots already completed for the film. For example, I had to make sure that the characters were colour-corrected the same way in a shot I was working on as a shot later in the same sequence, otherwise every camera cut the characters would look slightly different, thus breaking continuity.

During my time working with Bumpybox I composited over 100 shots on the project, working with an amazing team. Whilst working with them I learnt a tremendous amount about what working at a VFX studio is like. I also furthered my knowledge of compositing and the VFX pipeline.
